“Traveling Light” is an experimental film exploring the relationship between art and communication. The film is kept simple with only one actor and no dialogue, and yet still conveys a message of loneliness through use of visuals and music. Raw shots allow the viewers to place themselves in the film.
The title itself is a play on words. To take it quite literally, most of the film focuses on the use of light through camera movement and focus. Light doesn’t stay still for long. In the English idiom sense, traveling light means to bring very few things with you. The application of the idiom to the film is left to interpretation.
